Weekend Post- Do I belong

Lost in a world so full of rights,
Nobody cares to see my plight.

Born as a child filled with a want,
I am still the female gene nobody wants.

Excluded from society
Here I stand loosing my dignity.

What more could i ask for than a life,
But now I pray for my sacrifice.

Day by day, I am a liability,
I stand now showing you my ability.

I am the child you once rejected,
And now all I ask is for you to take me back.

The White House Ghosts

It is said that Lincoln's ghost haunts the White House. He appears in the room where the Lincoln bed is kept. Harry Truman once responded to a 3 o'clock knock on his door and found no one there. He attributed the knock to Lincoln.

Lincoln is said to return to the White House when the security of the country is at risk. He strides up and down the second floor hallway, raps at doors, and stands by certain windows with his hands clasped behind his back. One staff member claimed to have seen Lincoln sitting on his bed pulling on his boots.

I found this legend online. For more famous legends click here."A bodyguard to President Harrison was kept awake many nights trying to protect the president from mysterious footsteps he heard in the hall. He grew so tired and worried; he finally attended a séance to beg President Lincoln to stop so he could get enough sleep to properly protect the president!

Abigail Adam's ghost was seen drifting through the closed doors of the East Room to hang the laundry during the Taft administration.

A gardener claims to have spoken to the ghost of Dolly Madison, who reproved him for trying to remove the rose bushes she had planted over a hundred years ago.

In the 1930's Andrew Jackson's ghost could be heard laughing in the Rose room.

In 1952, extensive repairs were done to the second floor of the White House. Since then, the ghosts have not walked so actively."

Donald E. Goodwin

Donald E. Goodwin is an auto engineer's engineer. From the day he completed his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, he has steadily marched through the ranks of the Detroit technocracy, beginning in diesel fuel system design, in 1971, and moving to supplier quality assurance, then brake system design, then design verification, sheet metal testing, emissions certification, and powertrain systems work.
In 1978, Goodwin earned a master's degree in management from Michigan's Dearborn campus, and his management responsibilities climbed. He joined Chrysler Corporation, in 1985, as manager of design feasibility and reliability assurance and continued his climb

Rene Decartes

The French mathematician and philosopher René Descartes, or Renatus des Cartes as he called himself in his Latin publications, lived during the early 17th century. He studied law, but since he had rich parents he never had to earn any money with his learned profession.

In Descartes' time, there was a new interest in geometry. Already the Greeks had studied perfect shapes like the line, the circle or conic sections and the curves which derive of it. Now it got important to know more about curves, for example to study the path of projectiles when shot from cannons, or to design lenses used in telescopes and microscopes.

Weekend Post- Obama wants former top Army intel officer at TSA

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama plans to appoint a former senior Army official with a career in intelligence to lead the Transportation Security Administration.

The president is expected to announce his choice, retired Gen. Robert Harding, on Monday, according to an administration official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the announcement is not yet public.

The president's decision to appoint someone with an extensive intelligence background is significant because it comes after the attempted Christmas airliner attack, when the government's intelligence programs came under scrutiny and attacks by critics who said the Obama administration wasn't doing enough to foil would-be terrorists. The incident prompted a review of U.S. security policies.

Taser Madness

It must be a new high school initiative because the tasers were doing some big time zapping recently at a high school basketball game. When you watch this video you get the feeling that this won't be the last time you'll be reading about this. Just from that clip you can see how people might lose their jobs after this incident. Unless someone was packing heat, was there really a need for all of the harassment, intimidation, yelling, pushing, shoving and worst of all tasering? It's not like a coach whipped a ball at a player's head or someone head-butted a person. A Boy Mario has been a victim and he was tazed and he is a kid he wanted to get his sister. His family did press charges because if he was going out of fear for his sister and he had to find his sister then that school has alot of thinking to do. When you think of taser you think of shock. tazer is an electroshock weapon that uses electrical current to disrupt voluntary control of muscles of the human body. here is the link by clicking this or this.
clicking here would allow you to see another veiw of the brawl incident. when you click on the picture you should actually find the full definition of a taser and what it can do.
